Italian festival to be held in Ettalong

An Italian Festival will be held at the Galleria and Ettalong Beach Tourist Resort in Ocean View Rd from 9am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, March 22 and 23.

The festival is expected to turn the area into a "Little Italy" for a weekend filled with food, activities, artisian stalls and entertainment.

Dancing and singing will be encouraged with performers on two stages throughout the weekend.

A pasta-eating competition will be held at 12pm each day and a gelato-licking competition at 2pm.

The Market and Piazza stages will host free entertainment with Italian singers George Vumbaca and Sam Pellegrino.

The piazzas will host to a plethora of food stalls including cannoli, vino, birra and coffee, together with the boutique shops and artisans which line the Galleria.
