Facade improvement program opens
Central Coast Council's Facade Improvement Support Program is open for applications for the month of September.
Financial assistance is available under the program to businesses and commercial property owners in Woy Woy town centre.
Grants of up to $5000 can be used to enhance building facades and improve accessibility.
Council director Ms Melanie Smith said: "We aim to support businesses in enhancing their offerings and accessibility, contributing to the revitalisation of our town centres.
"By improving shopfront aesthetics and accessibility, we hope to create vibrant and inviting town centres that attract more visitors, boosting the local economy and enhancing the overall community experience."
The program offers dollar-for-dollar matched funding, with a maximum of $5000 ex GST per eligible property.
"Project ideas can range from simple and cost-effective measures like painting and signage to installing new awnings or accessibility ramps," Ms Smith said.
"Even small improvements can make a big difference."
