Charged with attempted murder

Two men have been charged and refused bail in separate bedside court hearings over a stabbing in an alleged fight over a woman at Ettalong on Tuesday, February 8.

A 25-year-old man was charged with attempted murder and remains under police guard in Gosford Hospital and a 32-year-old man was charged with malicious wounding and remains under police guard in Royal North Shore hospital.

Police were called to a premises on Ferry Rd, Ettalong, around 9pm on Tuesday, February 8, following reports of the stabbing and found two men with severe stab wounds to their necks and torso.

Both lived at the premises.

They were both initially taken to Gosford Hospital and the 32-year-old man was later airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital.

Police from Brisbane Water Local Area Command established a crime scene at the house and information was taken from witnesses.
