New signs ban parking

Gosford Council's traffic committee has recommended that council replace the No Standing restrictions in Karingi St and Uligandi St, with No Parking restrictions.

The decision follows a request from the Ettalong Public School P and C association.

The school P and C had requested that council provide disabled signposting and replace the missing signposting.

An inspection from the traffic committee revealed that the "existing No Standing signposting in the lane is very faded and missing in one location."

The committee also noted that the disabled parking spaces, while outside the school fence, were on school grounds.

The committee has also recommended that council liaise with the school to design disabled signposting for the disabled parking spaces in the laneway.

It has further recommended that officers of the Road Safety and Traffic Unit liaise with the school principal about requirements for onsite disabled parking.
