Pozieres Ave not a priority

Gosford Council officers have told petitioners that drainage problems in Pozieres Ave, Umina, would not receive special attention because the road had "a nuisance flooding problem similar to many other local roads on the Peninsula".

The council's priority for kerb, guttering, and other drainage works was to give funds to the busiest road first and then progressively to less busy local roads.

The petition with 60 signatures had asked the Council to fix kerb and guttering and to fix the road in Pozieres Ave.

The officers stated that council's maintenance teams would continue to repair the holes as they occur.
