Rhythm and blues nights

The Woy Woy Bowling Club has planned a series of unplugged Rhythm and Blues Nights to be held at the club on Friday nights starting June 24.

Organiser Mr Bob Jackson said Woy Woy Bowling Club was looking to bring something different to the club on a Friday night to appeal and attract a wider range of clientele and to give local Peninsula musicians a venue to perform.

The nights would be organised by Plugged-in Music, a cooperative of local musicians dedicated to writing, recording and promoting local artists.

The events will feature Null and Void, a local Woy Woy based Rhythm and Blues band performing both unplugged original and standard sets.

They will include "open mike" sessions to encourage local musicians and singers to get involved.
