A Thai restaurant in Umina has been renamed and opened for business under new ownership.

Trading as Sea Spice in Oscar St, Umina, the former Thien Thai restaurant has been renovated and some new equipment has been installed in the kitchen.

The new owner Thee Boonrod is a qualified chef with 15 years experience, having gained his qualification in Adelaide.

Mr Boonrod now lives in Booker Bay with his wife and two children.

The cuisine is South East Asian but mainly Thai and the restaurant is open six days a week.
