Meetings about violence and abuse

The Woy Woy Women and Children's Service is planning to run meetings on the topic of dealing with violence and abuse at the Peninsula Women's Health Centre in Woy Woy.

The session, known as the Butterfly Group, aims to cover topics such as: the cycle of violence and abuse, healthy relationships, the impact of abuse on family, emotional abuse, the affects of stress, anger and isolation, self esteem, life skills and the affects of domestic violence.

Meetings run every Tuesday afternoon from 1pm to 3pm from February 8.

No bookings are required and no sign-in is needed for the group.

Woy Woy Women and Children's Service also offers an outreach service to women in the community who have or are experiencing domestic violence.

The service is free of charge.
