Heritage boat challenge to run along Woy Woy channel
Heritage ferries and workboats will take part in their annual Challenge taking them past Woy Woy on Saturday, October 14.
The Heritage Ferry and Workboat Challenge is part of the Davistown Putt Putt Regatta and Wooden Boat Festival being held over the weekend of October 14 and 15.
The Challenge starts and finishes at the Gosford Sailing Club, with the old boats running down past Koolewong, along the Woy Woy Channel at around midday and returning via Paddy's Channel.
The festival is held to raise money for the Kids with Cancer Foundation.
Entry to the festival on the Davistown waterfront is by gold coin donation or card-tap, with all donations going directly to the Foundation.
A Putt Putt Charity Dinner will be held on Friday, October 20, with tickets costing $60 per head available from Davistown RSL.
