Students selected for touch football zone team
Five Peninsula students have been chosen by Southern Central Coast Primary School Sports Association to represent their zone at the Sydney North Touch trials to be held at Tuggerah Sports Facility on Monday, March 13.
Harper Mares from Ettalong Public School and Ryder Kozlowski from Umina Beach Public School have been selected for the girls' team.
Three students from Ettalong Public School have been selected for the boys' team: Jaxon Hodges-Markham, Tyler Preston and Izac Jones.
The students were chosen at trials at Sohier Pk, Ourimbah, held on Monday, February 13.
"After some skills work, the girls and boys were placed into teams and they played three pool matches each," said touch football convenor Mr Brett MacDonald.
"All students showed a great range of skills.
"From here, selectors picked 16 players to play in a possible team and then finally selected the squad to represent our Combined Zones.
"All participants showed great sportsmanship and are to be commended on their effort."
