Six topics identified for church purpose statement

Ettalong Baptist Church has identified six topics to be encapsulated in a purpose statement as part of its "revitalisation" exercise.

They are Discipling, Love people, Pray, Glorify God, Spirit-filled and Mission.

The church held a family forum on Sunday, June 20, which discussed the list.

It was agreed that the purpose statement should be based on the words: "Walking together in Christ's steps."

The values were discussed and a draft statement of the church's most distinctive values will be presented at the next forum on Sunday, July 18.

The forum will be held after the morning service over lunch.

The question will be asked: "Where is God leading us?"
