Raffle raises almost $3000 for Pearl Beach hall

Nearly $3000 was raised over the October long weekend for the renovation and upkeep of the Pearl Beach memorial hall.

Pearl Beach Progress Association publicity officer Ms Lynne Lillico said the association was delighted with the results of the raffle, which was held in place of an annual food fair.

"Our regular exhibitors contacted me to say they would like to donate a selection of their wine and produce so that we can hold the raffle," Ms Lillico said.

"The very first wine tasting event was 15 years ago and, since then, the event has developed into an annual fair supported by locals and visitors."

This year's event was originally scheduled for Saturday, September 26, but was cancelled due to NSW Health's coronavirus restrictions.
