Group to start community garden

The Bays Community Group is starting a community garden behind The Bays Community Hall.

"In recent months, we've had several enquiries about starting a community garden," said group president Ms Gwynneth Weir.

She said he group was looking for gardeners interested in helping to build and tending to a local community garden "right here in The Bays".

"Due to COVID-19, our recent fundraising efforts have been cancelled so this project would very much be a labour of love for the community, and would require donations of seeds, cuttings and plants," she said.

"With ample land to play with, all we need are ready and willing volunteers."
