Ettalong students take part in simultaneous storytime

Year 2 students from Ettalong Public School participated in National Simultaneous Storytime on May 22.

National Simultaneous Storytime is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association.

Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country.

The 2019 event marked the 19th anniversary of National Simultaneous Storytime which aims to promote the value of reading and literacy.

"Year 2 loved reading Alpacas with Maracas by Matt Cosgrove and completing some fabulous writing about the story," said principal Ms Lynn Balfour.
