Charity holds fundraiser in Ettalong

A disability charity has partnered with an Ettalong business to hold a fundraising event in Ettalong on February 23.

Fairhaven Services has partnered with Re:Publik Cafe to hold its High Tea Fundraiser for the second time.

"This is a great initiative for us," said Fairhaven fundraising manager Ms Sarah Williams.

"It not only raises funds, but it importantly raises profiles some of the extraordinary work our supported employees produce in our ReCreate team," she said.

Fairhaven ReCreate is a social enterprise offering employment opportunities for people living with disability on the Central Coast.

"The ReCreate team reduces local waste by transforming materials such as reclaimed timbers and pallets into beautiful furniture and homeware pieces, as well as upcycling donated items into freshly imagined fashion, gifts and homewares," Williams said.

Cafe owner Mr Wolfgang Zichy said he was pleased to support Fairhaven.

"They do great work and support local people living with disability.
