Aged care facility says it supports Royal Commission
Management of the Peninsula Village aged care facility at Woy Woy aged care facility has announced its support for the Royal Commission into Aged Care.
"Peninsula Villages is fully supportive of this Royal Commission process, as we want a safe, high quality and high performing aged care system in this country," said chief executive Mr Shane Neaves.
"To this end, the Royal Commission aims to examine issues and examples of what is not working, where the aged care system has failed, and explore what needs to change to in order to meet the changing needs and expectations of the growing numbers of older Australians.
"Peninsula Villages would like to keep our community informed about the Royal Commission," Mr Neaves said.
The Royal Commission's public hearings started in January, with the aim of delivering an interim report in October 2019 and a final report in April 2020.
