Preschools plant trees with community group

Two preschools and a community group came together on July 26 to plant native species at a Woy Woy park.

"We had a very successful National Tree Day event at Woy Woy's The Runway Park," said Umina Community Group spokesperson Mr Tony Winch.

"We were joined by the children of Wallaby St and Goodstart Preschools who participated in some planting fun.

"The students enjoyed digging, watering, mulching and finding out that planes once landed here.

"A highlight was to be able to plug into the new watering system and enjoy good water pressure which halves watering times," Mr Winch said.
