Objectors notified of opportunity to speak

Objectors to the proposed redevelopment of the Sporties bowling club in Woy Woy have been notified of the opportunity to speak to the Joint Regional Planning Panel.

The proposal would see the bowling club on the corner of Brick Wharf Rd and North Burge Rd replaced with 63 senior living units, a new club and retail outlets.

The panel will meet at the Gosford Chamber of the Central Coast Council, at 49 Mann St Gosford on Thursday, August 23, at 4pm, to hear public submissions before considering the proposal.

"The purpose of the meeting is to give interested people the opportunity to speak directly to the planning panel before a decision is made," said Planning Panel Secretariat senior project officer Ms Suzie Jattan.

Those wishing to present to the panel must register with the secretariat before 4pm on Tuesday, August 21, by phone on 02 8217 2060 or email to enquiry@planningpanels.nsw.gov.au.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the meeting as observers.

Individuals are given three minutes to speak, a community group 10 minutes in total, and the applicant, including consultants, a total of 15 minutes to present and address issues raised in public submissions.
