Police hunt for man
Police are appealing for information after a teenage girl was allegedly approached by a man on in Umina on Saturday, May 11.
About 11:30am, a 15-year-old girl was walking along Nelson St when she noticed a white van travelling slowly behind her.
Officers were told the girl went into a number of yards to try and get away from the man but he continued to follow her.
The girl was followed into nearby Trafalgar Ave, before she ran into West St to get away.
Police from Brisbane Water Local Area Command were notified and patrolled the area, however, did not find the man allegedly involved.
They are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He has only been described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 40s, unshaven, with short white hair.
His vehicle is described as being an older model white van with blacked out windows and NSW black and yellow registration plates with a partial registration of 'B407' or similar.
