Ukelele group wants members
Organisers of the Ettalong Senior Centre Ukes for Fun group are looking for more members to attend the group's meetings held on Thursday mornings from 9am.
"The Ettalong Senior Centre is becoming quite musical on Thursday mornings as the sound of ukuleles fills the halls," said group member Ms Leila Desborough.
"The group was started by Gary Neil and has quickly grown.
"The main purpose is to have fun and have a place to practice songs and singing while playing the ukulele.
"Then you can go and share it with other ukulele groups and players, family and friends.
"Often people from other classes at the Centre come and join in the singing as well.
"Ukuleles are an inexpensive, social and friendly instrument and they are a must have for everyone.
"The class only requires an Ettalong Senior Centre membership which is $4 a year and $1 for the class to cover expenses," said Ms Desborough.
