Spend money before surf carnival
I am glad to see the surf living saving festival planned for Umina.
It sounds like great news.
We need the tourism more than ever and Umina and the Peninsula as a whole has a real chance to show itself off as being the beautiful area that it is.
Putting it bluntly though, this is expected to give the Peninsula a massive boost to the local economy.
Hopefully the Council doesn't bugger it up and actually spends money on the Peninsula in the lead-up to this event.
Typically all the money Gosford Council gets seems to go to Terrigal and the Peninsula is treated as a second class citizen.
