Art market at Anderson Park

The next Woy Woy Art Market will be held on Sunday, January 8, in Anderson Park on the Woy Woy waterfront.

It will then be held every second Sunday or every month thereafter.

"We are growing bigger and better every month and we feature local artisans selling their beautiful handmade arts and crafts," said organiser Mr Riyaz Pocketwala.

"We also have live music, are a minute's walk to many local food outlets and two minute's walk to rail and bus transport facilities.

"Genres include jewellery, hand-made clothing, painting, photography, drawing, massage, palm reading, healers, glass and enamel, leather goods and many others.

"We are a community based not-for-profit organisation, are self-funded and donate 10 per cent of all takings to Mary Macs and Nepalese charities.

"Our aim is to raise the profile of the arts on the Central Coast and support it's extraordinarily talented artists and practitioners in being able to continue their wonderful work and create a more beautiful Peninsula while going a little way in helping those not as fortunate as ourselves.

"We hope to build a great and permanent monthly market that will enhance the local community and tourism in Woy Woy and surrounds," he said.
