Medals from surf titles
Students from Brisbane Water Secondary College Umina campus have competed in the NSW junior state surf life saving titles in March at Kingscliff Beach on the Queensland border.
They were part of a strong team of competitors from Umina Surf Club, ranging from the under eights to the Under-14s.
Rachel Wood took home three medals including gold in the iron woman and swim team alongside Jemma Armstrong, Kiesha Bovill and Mollie Murphy, while also securing bronze in the individual swim.
Sala Harrington from the Under-13s was a member of the board team which came seventh.
She also made it through five rounds in the flags and to the semis in the sprints.
