Depression recovery
A depression recovery program will begin on Tuesday, February 8, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Woy Woy and will run for eight weeks.
Woy Woy Seventh Day Adventist Church community health coordinator Ms Dorothy Pansare will host the Nedley Depression Recovery Program with sessions at 3pm and 7pm.
"We ran the program at the Peninsula Community Centre last year and were encouraged by the change people experienced through the program.
"Depression is a world-wide phenomenon, which affects one in five Australians.
"That's why Dr Neil Nedley began the eight week program, which is based on his 15 years of research and clinical experience," she said.
While depressed people often find themselves in tears, some men may stay dry-eyed, claims Dr Neil Nedley, architect of the Nedley Depression Recovery Program.
