Maroon day for flooded schools
Woy Woy Public School will be holding in a Maroon Day on Thursday, February 17, along with other schools around Australia to raise money for schools affected by the flooding in Queensland.
Students are requested to dress in maroon for the day and bring a gold coin donation.
The money from each school will be sent into School Aid and will then be sent to Queensland Schools to help with flood recovery.
Woy Woy Public School principal Ms Ona Buckley said this will help in refurbishing the schools with furniture, book and library resources, play and sport equipment, computers and other essential supplies.
