Nuisance fires

At 3:40am police were called to the Woy Woy commuter car park after they were alerted to the smell of smoke coming from behind Woy Woy police station.
The eastern elevator shaft had a large amount of smoke billowing from it and the fire brigade was called.
Police discovered a second small fire in an industrial bin nearby.
A car was also reported alight at 4:17am and the fire brigade responded within four minutes.
All fires were extinguished without further incident and damage was minimal.
The investigation remains ongoing.
