Assault investigated

Crime scene detectives are investigating an assault on a 20-year-old man in Umina on Monday, 26 December.

Police found the man lying on the ground near the toilet block at Umina Oval at 6am, a large quantity of blood was also found in the vicinity.

The man was taken to Gosford hospital where he was x-rayed and received stitches to a laceration on the back of his head.

Police have asked anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
