Connecting the community

Peninsula News plays an important role in connecting the Central Coast community.

The Peninsula News is delivered through a community-based non-profit association, Pennisula Community Access Newspaper Inc.

I commend and congratulate the members of the Peninsula Community Access Newspaper Inc for their exceptional contribution and the success and long life of the paper.

In particular, I would like to commend the association for their efforts on exclusive Peninsula coverage for the past 10 years through delivering a quality and professional newspaper.

With a print run of 14,000 distributed across the Peninsula, it has promoted a range of events and provided a balanced forum for community debate on social, environmental, economic, planning and community issues.

It is good to see debate and lively discussion from the locals.

The Peninsula News is an effective vehicle for the delivery of local ideas.

It has successfully engendered pride and community cohesion.

It is this pride and community partnership that has and will continue to add value to the Central Coast region as a whole.

Today we are celebrating an important occasion.
