Money for fire victims

Ettalong Beach Public School has raised $2000 to help victims of the recent bushfires in Victoria, according to P&C publicity officer Ms Michelle Pathirana.

"The staff and students at the school showed their overwhelming generosity over the last few weeks by donating money to the school's own bushfire appeal," Ms Pathirana said.

"The school held a mufti day which allowed students to wear casual clothes to school in return for a gold coin donation.

"A sausage sizzle was held the following week, with all proceeds going towards this important cause."
