Where's the evidence?
Mr Howard, who has long been in favour of voluntary voting, now claims that the Australian people is happy with the existing electoral system, including compulsory voting.
I think that he is quite wrong and if the public knew how damaging and undemocratic the existing voting system actually is, more than 90 per cent would be opposed to it. Therefore, could you provide evidence for your view, Mr Howard?
Could pollsters test the public's attitude on voluntary voting?
Could pollsters test the public's understanding of the existing electoral system and alternatives?
