Hope of open honest government

Keith Whitfield reminds us that the people are not served when he writes of the valiant knight Bryan Ellis.

I take some notice because his name is on the honour roll of Gosford City Council.

We, the people, are the powerbase that our elected representatives refer to when they speak of having a mandate.

But I say none have a mandate to ignore the law and the rights of the people the way Gosford councillors have done.

When so-called representatives hide behind policy advisers and secretaries even before they're elected in some cases, there is no hope of open honest government.
