Restaurant lease renewed

Gosford Council has agreed to the renewal of the lease for Fisherman's Wharf restaurant on the Woy Woy waterfront for a further 40 years.

The Department of Land and Water Conservation wrote to the council seeking its concurrence to the proposed new lease for a term of 40 years.

The purpose of the lease was for erection of buildings, commercial boat shed, seafood restaurant, fish market and bait and tackle and refreshment rooms.

The lease for Fisherman's wharf was originally created in April 1980.

The council was told that its reserves manager had no objection to the proposal.
