Group will have relaxed ride around Brisbane Water

Central Coast Bicycle User Group will have a "relaxed" ride around the Brisbane Water Loop from 7:30am to 11am on Sunday, February 2, starting at Woy Woy Fishermen's Wharf.

"This ride is perfect for those stepping up from easier rides, like the Woy Woy to Gosford ride," said rider leader Mr Alan Corven.

"With a few short hills to test the legs, it is mostly on road shoulders and shared paths, with some normal traffic roads.

"You need to be comfortable cycling on the road with some passing traffic.

"Ride pace will be slower on the shared path sections, picking up on the road sections."

The group will have coffee somewhere along the way or back near the start.

The ride is graded as medium, with an average pace of 20-22kph.

The ride distance is 47km with an altitude gain of 370 metres.

For further information, phone Alan on 0414 538 977.

The following Thursday, February 6, the group will ride from Woy Woy to Gosford and return.

The ride will start at Woy Woy Fishermen's Wharf at 8am and last for up to 2.5 hours.

Described as an easy ride along the shared path to Gosford and back, a distance of about 25kms in total, there is a possible extension to Point Frederick.

For further information, phone Reg on 0411 705 410.
