Loading zone for laundry

Gosford Council has resolved to provide a loading zone on the western side of Chambers Place, Woy Woy.

The loading zone will run northerly from Arcade Lane to the driveway to Lifeline.

The request for a loading zone came from the new owners of the laundry service, Mr and Ms R de Jager.

Mr and Ms de Jager have recently purchased this business and asked for the Loading Zone to aid delivery vehicles and customers to access the business without having to carry heavy loads across the road.

A report from council's traffic committee said that an inspection showed existing one hour parking in front of the shop and one hour parking across the street in the council car park.

The report stated that "the council car park provides adequate parking for customers to all businesses in the area".

But the report also acknowledged that although rear access was available to most businesses in the area, inspection showed a lack of on-street loading zones in the area.
