Food fair at Ettalong

An outdoor Food and Wine Fair will be held at Ettalong Beach waterfront on Saturday, October 8, and Sunday, October 9, between 10am to 5pm each day.

The Food and Wine Fair is set to become the largest community event Ettalong has seen, according to organizer Ms Meredith Goddard.

Ms Goddard said that building on the success of the Terrigal Food and Wine Fair, which attracted over 40,000 people, "the Ettalong event will cement the region's place at the forefront of great food, wine and entertainment".

"Local restaurants will present their finest culinary fare," Ms Goddard said.

"Fair patrons will be delighted with a colourful choice of food from all over the world including Indian, Mediterranean, Thai, modern Australian, seafood as well as desserts and fine cuisine from the local Ettalong restaurants.

"Wineries from Mudgee and The Hunter Valley will provide the best of the best the area has to offer, at $4 a glass.

"An exciting and varied line up of bands and entertainers will perform over both days."

The Fair is a bid to raise money for the local charity Give Me Five For Kids.

The event will be held in the Ettalong Beach Club car park on the corner of Memorial Dr and Oceanview Rd, Ettalong.
