Japanese calligraphy to be taught at library
A session teaching Japanese Calligraphy for beginners with Tomoko Oka will be held at Umina Library at 10:30am on Thursday, October 17.
This workshop is for anyone interested in Japanese culture, calligraphy and art.
Participants will learn about Japanese calligraphy and experience the art and enjoyment of writing Kanji Japanese characters with brush and ink.
The session will cover essential materials, basic calligraphy skills and writing simple Kanji.
Particpants will make their own artworks to take home.
No knowledge of Japanese is required.

Tickets cost $5.50.
