Program aims to break down misconceptions
Ettalong Public School Year 6 students will continue a "Different on the Outside, Same on the Inside" program on Wednesday this week.
The program from Social Futures is designed to challenge stereotypes about disability.
It aims to break down misconceptions and social barriers, and to encourage awareness and inclusion for people with disability.
Program coordinator Ms Maree Jenner said she hoped to engage young people by speaking of her own experience of difference as a person of short stature, and the challenges faced by "growing up little" in a world built for average height people.
