School celebrates Australian multi-culturalism
Woy Woy South Public School has recognised Harmony Day as a day that to celebrate Australian multi-culturalism.
"We celebrated and promoted inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians," said principal Mr Matt Barr.
"It was great to see students and staff wearing orange.
"Orange signifies meaningful social communication, freedom of ideas, and encouragement of mutual respect.
"The Harmony Day-themed food specials were a big hit.
"Students participated in Harmony Day classroom activities and discussions.
Gold coin donations raised a total of $245.10.
All funds will to the Hope in a Suitcase charity and will go towards providing children in out-of-home care with the essential items to make their lives a little bit easier.
