Power blackout across the Peninsula

A power blackout across the Peninsula affected around 14,000 homes in the early hours of Friday, December 30.

The blackout occurred at about 1am, with power restored by 3am.

Areas affected included Woy Woy, Umina, Ettalong, Booker Bay, Pearl Beach and Patonga, as well as Wagstaffe and Pretty Beach.

Ausgrid stated that 14,639 "locations" were affected.
