Umina women's triples championship

The final of the Umina Beach Women's Bowling Club's Triples championship was held on Friday, June 19.

It was a closely fought-match on a sunny day with just a little chill in the air.

The teams were level on several occasions.

However, winners were Pat Neal, Lyn Kennedy and Yvonne Austin, scoring 17-11 against Yvonne Gordon, Gale Hill and Carol Boyd.

In the club's Major Singles competition, results from June 18 were: Yvonne Gordon def Gay Foulkes. Lynne Gordon def Judith Moroney. Merryl Burgmann def Gale Hill. Yvonne Austin def Barbara Schultz. Jan Ellery def Betty Jack. Aileen Robertson def Cheryl Catchpoole. Whiti-Te-Ra Eriwata received forfeit from Pat Neal. Carol Boyd def Cheryl Ryan.
