First round loss for Woy Woy Lions
The Ourimbah Razorbacks proved too strong for Woy Woy in the first round of Central Coast Rugby Union competition played at Woy Woy Oval on Saturday, April 10.
The Razorbacks ran out victors by 39 points to 5 after going into the halftime break leading by 17 points to 0.
However, the Woy Woy team was making them struggle for every point, according to CCRU president Mr Larry Thomson.
"Woy Woy had some effective players and they were certainly not making it easy for the visitors.
"The second half saw the Razorbacks go on with it and they were able to post a further 22 points in the second half.
Best performers for Woy Woy were lock Philip Shaw, who crossed for their try, No.8 Jazper Doak-Stride, and centre Junior Stowers.
Woy Woy had a bye last weekend for round two games played on April 17.
