Students celebrate an Australia Fun Day
Year two students at Umina Beach Public School have celebrated an Australia Fun Day, as part of their geography unit for semester two.
Principal Ms Lyn Davis said the students participated in a variety of outdoor activities throughout the day as well as some themed creative arts.
Activities included a thong throwing competition, an adapted egg and spoon race with fly swatters and insects, inflatable koala and cockatoo races, and Indigenous sporting games.
Creative art activities included boomerang designs and creating the Sydney Opera House from paper plates.
