Books donated to children overseas

Disadvantaged children overseas will receive some books thanks an arrangement between the Rotary Club of Brisbane Waters and Woy Woy South Public School.

Rotary club publicity officer Ms Sue O'Neill said the school recently reorganised its library, with dozens of older titles coming off the shelves being donated to the Rotary.

The club since arranged to distribute some of the books to communities in Uganda.

Ms O'Neill said the club worked with the Rotary Club of Mosman to arrange with the Papua New Guinea Embassy in Canberra for the rest of the books to be distributed to schools in need across Papua New Guinea.
