Aboriginal Welcome Barbecue at Umina
Umina Beach Public School held its Aboriginal Families Welcome Barbecue at the school on March 3.
Principal Ms Lyn Davis said she was pleased to see so many of the school's indigenous community attend the event.
"It was wonderful to see so many families at our Welcome Barbecue.
"The smoking ceremony was an important part of the welcome and we thank the uncles who performed it for coming along.
"Aboriginal students helped out and the Aboriginal Education Committee organised the event," Ms Davis said.
