Toastmasters to hold speaking course
The Ettalong Beach Toastmasters will hold a speaking course this month.
Facilitated by voluntary Toastmasters members, the course is designed for beginners to improve their speaking skills and gain confidence presenting in front of an audience.
Participants will present a range of prepared and impromptu speeches, and use the feedback given by the volunteers to improve their speeches.
The course will run over four consecutive Tuesday nights, starting at 7.15pm at Ettalong Beach Diggers, with the first session on February 18.
Toastmasters is a not-for-profit, educational organisation that focuses on broadening and developing the speaking skills and confidence of its members, enabling them to communicate and lead in a variety of settings.
Established in 1986, the Ettalong Beach Toastmasters have endeavoured to maintain strong ties to the community.
They host fortnightly meetings to help improve the confidence and speaking skills of their members and are always happy to welcome new members.
