Pearl producer expands into Hawkesbury River
A local pearl producer has announced it will expand its operation to the Hawkesbury River.
Broken Bay Pearls managing director Mr James Brown said the organisation would be expanding into the Hawkesbury with a new site between Patonga and Brooklyn.
Broken Bay Pearls' akoya pearls are currently grown locally in the Brisbane Water and marketed internationally.
The pearls are sold to collectors and jewellery makers as they come in an array of unconventional colours and are known for their exceptional lustre.
