Forgotten south misses out
Again the forgotten south has missed out.
I watched the announcement from Mr Adam Crouch on NBN news that Terrigal will get a boardwalk around the rocks to which the State Government will put its hand into its pocket to the tune of $2.5 million for its share of the cost of building this boardwalk.
I am sure the Council will put up its share of the funds for this project given the fact that a large number of the councillors live closer to Terrigal than the forgotten Peninsula.
Oh that's right, only one of the three West Ward Councillors lives in the Ward.
Why can't the Council and State Government find that type of money for projects on the Peninsula like roads, footpaths, parks, ocean foreshore regeneration, dredging and so on.
Probably because as Mathew Wales said in Coast Community News Issue 184, the Peninsula is just a cash cow for the Council.
