Money for landscaping

A local registered club has donated $6000, under the State poker tax scheme, to Umina Beach Public School.

Principal Ms Lyn Davis said the money from Club Umina would add to the landscaping project taking place behind the Year 4 rooms.

It would pay for screens to protect the literacy-yarning circle from stray soccer balls and the like.

The money would also be used to help fund student-designed sculpture which will be a feature of the space.
