Rotary provides early morning tea and biscuits

The Rotary Club of Woy Woy provided early morning cups of tea and Anzac biscuits at the Woy Woy Anzac Day dawn service.

"We were at Memorial Park in Brickwharf Rd before dawn to set up a kitchen to provide early morning cuppas and Anzac biscuits for those who came to pay their respects," said club spokesperson Ms Joan Redmond.

"We also provided a shopping trolley full of candles to light the dawn," Ms Redmond said.

"Numbers seem to have increased from last year and we ran out of battery candles by 5am, but the late arrivals didn't miss out, receiving our remaining supply of wax candles," she said.

"Some of our members wore the medals for their service in the armed forces and the medals of family members who have passed away."
