Two new staff members welcomed

Pretty Beach Public School has welcomed two new members of staff at the start of term two.

"We are pleased to welcome Ms Laura Metcalfe to our teaching staff as she commences her permanent teaching career," said principal Ms Deborah Callender.

Ms Metcalfe will be teaching Class 4/5 this year.

"We congratulate Ms Metcalfe on the outstanding performances and successes she achieved throughout her teacher training which enabled her to become a targeted graduate.

"Ms Metcalfe gained her permanent teaching position at Pretty Beach Public School through merit selection," Ms Callender said.

"We would also like to welcome Mr Wokker to Pretty Beach Public School.

"Mr Wokker will be working as our new general assistant on a casual basis.

"He has been busy beautifying our school.

"The two verandahs outside our Year 3 and 6 classrooms look fresh and clean thanks to Mr Wokker," she said.
